About Us
Denise
Raising Pawfection® was initially developed by Denise Nuttall who has been a force-free, positive reinforcement dog trainer and behaviourist since 2004. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Animal Behaviour and an MRes with distinction (Master's degree in research science). In 2026 she took a step back and passed Raising Pawfection® into Becky's capable hands.
Becky
Becky has been working with dogs professionally for over 15 years in a variety of positions from Rescue, Dog Walking, Training and Behaviour and Veterinary Care. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from Anglia Ruskin University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Animal Behaviour from Edinburgh University. With a passion for getting puppies off to the best start in life as well as working with anxious and fearful dogs she couldn't be happier to take on Raising Pawfection®.
We are both a bit obsessive about dogs, to be honest, but this is to your advantage!
Through our combined experience it's clear that many behaviour disorders can be prevented with better knowledge of predisposing factors for the development of behaviour problems. If only owners had had more information earlier on, or had known more about the puppy they chose before they made the decision and could have focussed on certain areas of training and handling to prevent problems from developing. Sometimes even knowing that the dog had a medical condition could have helped to address the behaviour problem sooner.

In fact, if you raise your dog following the 8 steps of Raising Pawfection®, very little active training is required. If you know how to raise a dog properly they can virtually train themselves with your guidance.
